Our Process
A quick overview of how we operate, neatly laid out into 4 phases
1. Initial Design Consultation
We start off this wonderful journey with a preliminary design consultation via phone call or Zoom. This is where we get to know a little bit about your project, as well as a little bit about you!
We'll discuss your basic ideas and wants for the project, walk you through how the entire process will proceed, and talk about our pricing and how payment will work. This is where we will schedule your in-person design consultation and move on to phase 2.
2. In-Person Meeting & Site Analysis
The second step in our process; meeting at the property you're looking to get work done on. In this meeting our main goal is to learn as much as we possibly can about YOU. An underrated aspect of how well a design works is how well-suited it is for the owners, and we make that our main priority during the entire process. Alongside this, we'll discuss in greater detail your wants and needs for the project, as well as the different options you may have design-wise.
Not only will we be learning more about you, we take the opportunity to gather all necessary site measurements and information during the meeting as well. Examples of this will include sun/shade locations, terrain, negative & positive viewing locations, and even the architectural style of your home.
3. Concept Design & Client Collaboration
After we've gathered all the information we need from you and your property, we begin drafting your design. We sketch a basic layout of your project to start, before moving to our CAD system where we draw-up the entire project and generate a beautiful 3D rendition that we showcase to you via Zoom. In this initial design presentation, we'll walk you through the entire design and go over why we made the decisions we made; such as placement, color, shape, and much more.
Once you've had the opportunity to look over the design, we can discuss what you love about it, and what you don't love. From here we make the necessary revisions based off of your feedback, repeating this back-and-forth process until we reach a design you're absolutely in love with!
4. Final Plans
Once a finalized design has been reached, we begin the process of creating detailed construction plans for the entire project. The information included in these plans will be more than enough for your builder of choice to not only bid your project, but to aid in the construction of it as well.
